These include having housekeepers take note of an excessive number of items in the rooms, adding more security cameras, fire and bomb threat drills, and using technology to monitor movement in and out of the guest rooms. “Every hotel manager is probably thinking of many additional practices that could be implemented,” he says. However, Hanson says other security checks may start popping up at hotels. In a city like Las Vegas, where the hotels have thousands of rooms and check-in lines are already notoriously long, luggage scanners will only slow the process even further. ![]()
